All is quiet on the home front…

Teresa is here with me and Ethan today.  We all took a nap and she just went out to get lunch from Panera Bread.

I just spoke with the nurse at the doctor’s office.  Alex gave me this horrible upper respiratory infection right before I started chemo, and they finally gave me an antibiotic a couple of days ago.  She was calling to check on me.  My cough is getting better, but it’s pretty hard to breathe because my left lung is still full of fluid.  I’m also having pain in my abdomen/back where the tumor is.  They told me that both things should resolve quickly once the chemo starts working, but I think their idea of quickly is a little different from mine.  I’m not happy about the pain, but it really helps me if I know that it will go away soon.  Other than that, I’m doing really well – no adverse effects from the chemo at all, not even a hint of nausea.

Thanks for coming over today, Teresa.  It’s very comforting to have you here.

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by and checking in.  I’m using this blog to try to keep everyone updated on how I’m doing.  I’ve never blogged before, so please be patient.  Constructive criticism is always welcome!  I’ve never had significant health problems before, either, so please be patient with me on that too.  It’s never been easy for me to accept help, and so many people have so graciously offered us so much help, and for this I am very grateful.
